Bio: Bonnie was the daughter of Bernard Lee and Bertie Marie (Hiatt) Simpson. She married (1) Henry Nathan Gwyn Jr. in 1966 and they were the parents of three children: Trey, Amy and Jana. She married (2) John Elmer Martin Sr. Greensboro News & Record, NC December 15, 2000.  Mrs. Bonnie Gwyn Martin, 53, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, at her home. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Guilford Ward, 3719 Pinetop Road, with Bishop Alan Ross officiating. Interment will be in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Cemetery, Colfax.  Mrs. Martin was born Aug. 11, 1947, in Guilford County, a daughter to Bernard Lee and Bertie Marie Hiatt Simpson. She had been a lifelong resident of Guilford County and was employed by the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Mrs. Martin was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Greensboro Ward. Surviving are her husband, John Elmer Martin of the home; three children, Trey Gwyn of Peachland, Amy Hawks and Jana Puckett, both of Ararat, Va.; four sisters, Sylvia Chesson of Nashville, Iris Lott, Mary Lee Woodberry, and Jackie Morehead, all of Salt Lake City, Utah; and four grandchildren, Holly Hawks, Haley Hawks, Tatum Gwyn, and Alden Gwyn. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, 2000, at Cumby Family Funeral Service, 1015 Eastchester Drive, High Point. Memorials may be directed to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, 2306 West Meadowview Road, Greensboro, N.C. 27407 or to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Greensboro-Guilford Ward, Missionary Fund, 3719 Pinetop Road, Greensboro, N.C. 27410.

Mrs. Bonnie Gwyn Martin, 53, died Tuesday, Dec. 12, 2000, at her home.
